Last month 27 pupils from The Grange Primary School in Bo’ness visited the Customworks factory to gain an insight into the inner workings of the company. After a mad preparatory dash to tidy the office, the primary 6 class were given a brief talk about how the business started before being taken on a guided tour of the different areas of the business with each department explaining their role. Customworks has recently expanded its business portfolio with the acquisition of Stirling-based Castle Melamine. A manufacturer of high quality melamine table mats and coasters, Castle Melamine employs 12 staff, all of whom are to be retained following the purchase and the company will continue to trade under its existing name as a division of Scotbadge Ltd.
