Founded in Vienna, the Wiener Werkstätte promoted the concept of coordinated interior decor for the home, and produced designs for textiles, wallpaper, furniture and other home furnishings, as well as fashions. The Wiener Werkstätte style broke from the popular Art Nouveau and featured instead simple, practical design with strong geometric lines and colors.
